Gerhard used hand-piped white chocolate to transform his well-built model into a tribal warrior. The lines near the model’s neck resemble an amulet chain typically used for ceremonies. Various influences of Aboriginal and African art in Gerhard’s work were inspired by the early development of Homo sapiens, whose humble beginnings in Africa led to humans ultimately conquering the world.
